Another modest flight. Winds were northerly all day and stiffer than the past few days, bringing some relief from the mugginess. Cloudy skies were welcome, as well. Hopefully a harbinger of true fall weather. A banded juvenile Sharp-shinned was trapped today, the first foreign recapture of the season. We'll hopefully find out where this bird first ran into a net. Deniz ended up with two new captures, both juvenile Cooper's hawks. zach smith kiptopeke hawkwatch You are subscribed to VA-BIRD.
