Six folks joined me for the fall migration edition of the Huntley Meadows
Hike-Bike Trail Bird walk, sponsored by the park staff. Highlights were two
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, one singing along the Pond Trail, two Black-and-white
Warblers along the Pond Trail, three American Redstarts, and a probable
Wilson's Warbler on the Pond Trail, based on the all yellow underparts, all
dark undertail, and the hint of a yellow supercilium. Acadian Flycatchers were
still evident (seven total) some singing, and a Traill's (that's as far as I
can take it) Flycatcher in the first meadow.
