Not much to report from Huntley today. Migrants consisted of a handful of
birds: Magnolia (2) and Blackpoll (1) warblers were present as well as a
Swainson's Thrush (1). The Com Yellowthroats, Ovenbirds, and hopefully the
single wood Thrush will stay to breed. There were 5 Eastern Pewees present,
spread all throughout the meadows- generally the breeders seem to concentrate
at the north marsh. A male baltimore Oriole in the north marsh was a nice
surprise. I must be incompetent or something, but I have never found the
Louisiana Waterthrush along the stream in the north marsh.
