Friday afternoon, 3-16-07, we came home from work early due to the snow and
replenished all feeders and ground feed and within moments we had a dozen fox
sparrows! They were all over scratching in their manner making holes in the
snow finding the seeds, millet and cracked corn. I was in total amazement
because I have also been lucky in the past to view one or two in my yard. I had
never seen a flock. They returned again on Saturday and then on Sunday,3-18-07,
late afternoon when we returned home, there was close to 40 fox sparrows
feeding on the ground!!! I have never seen anything like it in my life!
