I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I just watched a Red-shouldered Hawk
plop down in the middle of my fish pond and then emerge with a goldfish
(unfortunately a rather rare specimen, but those are the breaks). They seem
to like to nest in stream valley parks in this area (No. VA); it now occurs
to me that fish and frogs could be a significant part of their diet. Anyone
know?
