Hi,
This evening just before sundown I was at a tile store in Merrifield where I
saw a covey of perhaps 40 Robins all close together on the ground and in a
small cedar tree up next to a brick building facing the south. The temperature
was 31 degrees. They had their feathers all fluffed out and looked very cold.
I wanted to rush over to the pet store to buy some meal worms to feed them but
afraid it would scare them away.
With the temperatures so cold and the ground frozen, what can we do to help the
Robins? It may be that they roost here every evening. Don't know. Is there
something that I could go back and put out for them to eat?
This is in a business district and not our yard so I am not sure what can be
done if anything.
