Mike -- don't worry about Jay -- his hobby appears to be flaming others who
post. tho I've never met the man, he wrote in response to my comment on the
Ivory Bill:
"The last time I checked, America is a representative government not a
monarchy and
nobody crowned you King. If you are concerned about conservation of the
bird, realize that there are many more on this listserv that do far more
in a day than you do in a year - certainly more than you sitting behind
your
computer screen telling others what to do. Thinking rather than acting
emotionally can go far for you in life."
I should have known better than to post a report on
this board. It is pathetic that people question
reports of species such as Mourning Warbler,
Connecticut Warbler, Alder Flycatcher, Philadelphia
Vireo, Sedge Wren, and now Swainson's Warbler. Wake up
people. Open up your field guides and listen to your
tapes. Only a beginning birder would have a problem
identifying any of those species. It sure didn't take
long to be reminded why I stopped posting on this
board. Don't worry. I won't be back.
Note to Jay Keller: I could care less if many people
have been questioning my reports. Neither they nor you
are qualified to lick my Wellingtons.
