The black rail continued to call this morning. He was calling, when I left at
8:50, from the low vegetation just past the cattails in the Y of the entrance
to the boardwalk loop.
The blue grosbeak was in and under the conifer behind the tower. A first year
orchard oriole was in the deciduous trees between the conifer and the boardwalk.
