Senator Warner is on the target list of the top ten senators who
urgently need to hear from constituents like us. That means he has favored
drilling in the Arctic Refuge but we hope he can be swayed to vote with us
this
week if enough constituent pressure is applied.
It only takes a quick minute to place a single phone call that could help
us save America's greatest sanctuary for Arctic wildlife.
Call Senator Warner's local office at (804) 739-0247. (Call during office
hours - the voice mailbox is full.)
Tell them you want the senator to vote YES on the Cantwell Amendment that
would keep Arctic Refuge drilling out of the federal budget.
If you've never called your senator's office before, you'll be amazed how
easy
it is. The senator's aides will be glad to register your opinion, and
phone
calls have a very big impact.
And please, forward this message to as many friends, colleagues and family
members in your state as you possibly can. If each of Virginia birder
generates just two or three calls, that will amount to thousands of calls
that
could win the senator's support.
Remember: Wednesday's vote is now too close to call. The fate of the
Arctic
Refuge could easily be decided by your own senator's vote.
