Folks,
Under and below the Coleman Bridge on the York River yesterday were the
following birds:
3 Brown Pelicans
2 N Gannets (probably more farther downriver)
>50 DC Cormorants (apparently focused on a tidal rip that was
concentrating food)
1 Bufflehead
1 C Loon
Also had our first RC Kinglet at Gl Pt this morning, 1/23/07.
A visiting birder from France has been keeping an eye on birds along the
York River here at VIMS this winter as well. Recently he passed on to me
photos of a Cooper's Hawk and Horned Grebes seen in the last few days.
