HI ALL
I have for the last few nights been house sitting in Isle Of Wight Co. =
at my Son's house. The first thing in the morning the Bob Whites starts =
calling, along with the singing of the Yellows Breasted Chats, Common =
Yellowthroats, Bluebirds, Goldfinches, Indigo Buntings to name a few. As =
it get dark  the Chuck-Wills Widows start calling and in the distance =
you can here a pr. of Screech Owls talking to one another. Yesterday =
morning the Crows were harassing a Great Horned Owl in a large tree over =
the pond. I watched the owl fly away and it wasn't long before a Summer =
Tanager and a Great Creasted Flycatcher  took his place.=20
This morning I decided to try out the birds at Hog Island over in =
the next country. To my surprise I didn't see the first  Mosquito. The =
dragonflies might have had something to do with that, I had never seen =
so many at the same time. The Electrical line were covered with them =
from the power plant all the way to the in of the island and they were =
flying in every direction!
On the Trail that goes by the old Holly tree My wife and I saw a =
adult male Yellow-rumped Warbler my first for this time of year. The =
blue book has Sept. 30 to May 15
My wife was hearing Brown-headed Nuthatches in the top of the large =
pine, I cane here them anymore. I did finely get to see two of them oh. =
WE saw 10 perched Bald Eagle as well as a few fly over. Also of note was =
an Am. Bittern.    =20
