A walk along the Bright Hope Trail at Pocahontas State Park yielded some
good sightings/hearings this morning.  Highlights were YELLOW-THROATED  VIREO,
PRIARIE WARBLER, and HOODED WARBLER, as well as a BROAD-WINGED HAWK  headed
north.  I also heard a BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH in the pines just south  of the
bridge over the small creek; I have found them at this location twice
previously
in September and October 2004.

Bright Hope Trail runs south from the horse trailer parking lot on Beach
Road; the parking lot is on the south side of Beach Road 0.9 miles west of the
main park entrance.
