[va-bird] YB Flycatcher at Leeslyvania SP, Pr Wm Co, others at Metz (Pr Wm Co) and Monticello (City of Alex)

VA BIRDers,

I ran into Marc Ribaudo at Leeslyvania SP this morning and we found a
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher across from the Powell's Creek Trail parking lot.
Very cooperative. Other obvious migrants (many near the car top boat launch
area) were a couple of Swainson's Thrush, a singing Gray-checked Thrush, 2
Northern Waterthrush, several American Redstarts, 2 or 3 Blackpolls, and
male Magnolia and Black-throated Blue Warblers. There were about a dozen
Blue Jays that appeared to be still migrating. Also of note was a singing
Black & White Warbler inside the woods along the Powell's Creek trail -
breeding safe date has started for this species. Plus the usual breeders at
this park including fantastic Prothonotary Warbler displays at the car top
launch area and the beaver pond.

I headed over to Julie Metz wetlands and could only find a few Am. Redstarts
and a Least Flycatcher. A pair of Willow Flycatchers were in the willows
and shrubs across from the bird blind/shelter. Willow Flycatcher is a very
local breeder in Virginia's coastal plain.

A quick visit to Monticello Park added Philadelphia Vireo to the list
already mentioned by Paul Kane. Also, Paula Sullivan noted a nearby Canada
Warbler. I left a bit early to get some tires so there may be other
additions. (yep, end of the month car inspections!)
