The birds seem to have paid attention to the lunar calendar. I haven't seen
any Hooded Mergansers for several days (last saw 4 females on morning of March
26), but the summer birds are arriving. Phoebes are everywhere and I saw the
first Double-crested Cormorant of the season this morning on Woodglen Lake.
The Night Herons should be here any day now.
