Thursday morning I spent 4 hours (8-12) in
Leedstown in Westmoreland County.  That afternoon
from 5-7:15 I visited Wilna Tract of Rappahannock
River Valley National Wildlife Refuge (Richmond
Co).  Wilna is open daily from sunrise to
sundown. Its a really nice place.  Lots of indigo
buntings and more than the usual number of
kestrels.  Savannah sparrows have started to
arrive but other sparrow numbers still low.  Very
few ducks or geese around.  Most killdeer and
shorebirds are gone.  Saw my first yellow-rumped
warbler of the season.
