[va-bird] White-winged Scoter in Gloucester

A White-winged Scoter was spotted by Joyce yesterday at the boat ramp under
York River bridge. I also observed it and saw it flap its wings, showing the
white areas clearly. The ramp is the one that is closed (directly under the
bridge). This morning I went back and it was in the same location in the
company of a female Goldeneye. They stayed very close in until I got out of my
vehicle. Then they moved away together upriver past the VIMS pier. A Common
Loon got my attention for a short time and the Goldeneye re-appeared near the
ramp. Then I saw a dark bird flying toward me. It was the Scoter which landed
by the Goldeneye. They proceeded to dive and feed right at the end of the ramp.
