[va-bird] White-rumped Sandpipers at Huntley Meadows Park

VA Birders,

    On our Northern Virginia Bird Club (NVBC) walk at Huntley Meadows Park in 
Fairfax Co. this morning, led by Barbara Murphy and Carolyn Williams, our 17 
birders found 2 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS just off the high point of the 
boardwalk.  They were with other shorebirds, which included SEMIPALMATED 
PLOVERS and 
LEAST SANDPIPERS.  Other highlights were a BARRED OWL near the Visitor Center 
and 2 WILD TURKEYS on the far side of the marsh.
