All,
Birded Turner Pond and The Bridle Trail at Sky Meadows State Park this morning.
Lots of Field, Savannah, and a few White-crowned around, but on balance things
were pretty slow, sparrow wise. Immature White-crowned sparrow on the fence
line at Turner Pond, (4+) immature and (2) adult White-crowned sparrows in the
sparrow field behind the horse barn, and a couple more immature White-crowned
along the Meadow Trail. A few juncos around too. I had no candidates for
Chipping, Vesper, Lincoln's, or Swamp.
Remarkable birds, included:
Bald Eagle
Northern Harrier
RT Hawk
American Kestrel
Eastern Phoebe
Eastern Meadowlark (many)
Purple Finch
House Finch
and the rest of the usual suspects.
