A flock of 8 immature White Ibis took flight from the south side of Cape
Charles Harbor at 0900 yesterday 1 July and overflew the town, slowly gaining
altitude in lazy circles, moving in a north-northwesterly direction. I
hurried
home to watch them go over the house, yard bird #254. Though common on the
seaside, White Ibis are very scarce on the bayside, and this is the first time
I've seen them over the Bay.
