Greetings,
No luck with the ibis this morning, out at the Manassas Battlefield, despite
a lengthy search along Young's Branch. As a consolation prize, I was awarded
stunning views of a GRAY FOX munching on blackberries and then napping on an
old log. While observing the fox, a Yellow-breasted Chat and Blue Grosbeak
provided wonderful background music. New to me in these fields were
Grasshopper Sparrows, of which I saw three.
The ticks haven't found me to be too appetizing, as I've only had two in my
three trips out there this past week.
Stay cool and HAPPY JULY 4TH!
