VA-Birders:
It would be most helpful if some of our experts could help me with a
decision.
We will be hosting a large number of marine ecologists from around the
country from 6-10 April for a conference in Williamsburg. I have managed to
get a smallish group together to go birding on Sunday, the 10th for about
5-6 hours in the morning (birders are everywhere, even in marine science!).
I had sort of settled on offering two choices: (1) early warbler chasing
in the Great Dismal Swamp, or (2) visiting the CBBT islands and lower E. shore.
I would like people's thoughts on these options (which is better that
time of year, or are they even just for different suites of species -
forest v. seabirds?) and any suggestions for other things to try. The
participants have weighed in cautiously on what to go after, but it's still
wide open.

Thanks,
Dave Hewitt
