Photo Quiz - Waterthrush
While attempting to photograph a very hyperactive unidentified juvenile
hummingbird, I happened to notice a bird walking on roof of the back shed.
In the low light, initially I could only detect shape and it was
pumping/wagging the tail. Hmmm...what would a Purple Sandpiper be doing on
a metal roof overlooking a small overgrown backyard in downtown
Charlottesville? Then the light went on I managed to get one image as it
stood on the roof before it flew short distance to fence overgrown with
morning glories. The 2nd image has the bird in profile as it stood on the
fence before it dropped down onto ground on neighbor's side.
