A female WILSON'S PHALAROPE was feeding in the Snow Goose Pool at
Chincoteague at around 10:15 AM this morning. It was viewed from the Wildlife
Loop at
the intersection with the Black Duck Trail. Amazing how that bright plumage
stood out even at quite a distance.
Yesterday, there were 10 RED KNOTS on the beach a little south of the start
of the ORV section, a PIPING PLOVER inside its exclosure in the fenced-off
area, and 20 or so BLACK SKIMMERS and numerous LEAST TERNS.
