The viruses are not coming from VABIRDS. Rather they come from
people on the list whose computers are infected. The virus then attaches
itself to messages in their e-mail folders and sent out, so VABird messages
are a possible source of transmission.
As usual the best defense against computer viruses is a good
anti-virus program which is always updated.
