Your participation on the List-Serve indicates your interest in Virginia
birdlife and to further develop that interest, we invite you to join the
Virginia Society of Ornithology. Founded in 1929, it is the only
state-wide organization devoted to the study of Virginias birdlife. As
a member of the VSO, you will receive our scientific journal, The Raven,
as well as the quarterly publications, Virginia Birds and the Newsletter.
As a member, your financial support of the VSO will enhance the
organizations ability to offer our annual awards to students involved in
ornithological research projects within the state, to sponsor state-wide
field trips, to continue our publication schedule, and to assist various
conservation efforts. The membership categories are listed below:
