Hello birders,
The past 2 mornings there has been a VESPER SPARROW at Bandy Field. It has
been giving good looks feeding out in the open. Other species of note;
CHIPPING SPARROW, PINE WARBLER, BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH, EASRTERN PHOEBE.
Notably absent are White-throated Sparrows.
During the past week YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS have arrived in the James
River Park, as have BLUE GRAY GNATCATCHERS. A few BUFFLEHEAD are lingering
on the river also.
At Crewes Pond (Henrico Co.) there have been 30+ WILSON'S SNIPE, up to 5
GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 40 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, and c.10 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS.
