VA-birders and photographers,
This is a reminder that the deadline for the VSO Photo Contest is March
31st. I
have heard that many excellent submissions have been received, but it is
also not
too late to get your entry in. See the contest rules and entry form at
the VSO
website:

One of the prizes that is being awarded is a 1/2 day nature photography
outing
with professional wildlife photographer, Lynda Richardson. This will be
held
somewhere in the Richmond area and will be tailored to the individual who
wins.
Here is a brief summary of the award:

Anything You Want To Know About Wildlife Photography But Were Afraid to
Ask!
What would you like to know about wildlife and environmental photography?
Lynda Richardson will donate a half day of her time answering your
questions. Whether you choose to go on a shoot in the field, or have a
particular question in mind and just want to sit around shooting the
breeze,
Lynda will be there to answer your questions and help you learn more
about
photographing wildlife and the natural world. Want to learn about using
remote camera gear, how to set it up, and how to make it? Want to learn
about calling in birds for up close and personal shots in your own
backyard
or out in the field? Interested in the business side of things or how to
organize your slide files? This time will be geared towards what YOU want
to
learn. Join Lynda for a fun time sharing information about the exciting
world of wildlife photography!

After reading the contest rules and you still have questions, please
direct
them to Bob Coles: k91011@xxxxxxx
We look forward to seeing everyone at the VSO Annual Meeting in
Richmond: Dates: April 26 - 28, 2002
The winning photographs will be displayed during the meetin and the
winners will be announced at the banquet.
