[va-bird] VA-Bird is Moving...Today

Dear VA-Birders,

As of today, Friday May 18 2007, the VA-Bird listserv has moved to a new 
provider.  The VSO is funding the new listserve, from listserve.com.  It 
will be a little confusing as we move from Freelists to the new provider, 
but I hope this email answers most of your questions.

All email addresses subscribed to the old Freelists VA-Bird have been 
transferred to the new Listserve VA-Bird.  The Freelists listserv will 
continue until Wednesday May 23, when all subscribers will be unsubscribed.

David Spears is the new Listserve VA-Bird owner.  He and I are looking for 
co-owners to help with the listserv administration.  If interested please 
email us.  David's email address is in the CC line of this email.

Posts to VA-Bird should now be addressed to this email address:
va-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Requests for "vacation", "digest", and "subscribe"/unsubscribe go to this 
email address:
va-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
You will learn that the commands are different.  The old vacation is now 
"set delivery off".

Send an email to the request address with "Help" as the Subject (without 
quotes) and you will receive an email with all listserv instructions.

After more than four years as the VA-Bird owner I am happy to share the 
administrative duties and usher in a new listserv provider.  This is an 
exciting time for VA-Bird.  Please be patient with us as we get familiar 
with the new listserve
