I have similarly heard the Black Vultures will attack during the lambing
event while mother ewe and lamb are basically helpless.
In Kingsport, TN, where I work, a resident roost of over 100 Black Vultures
soar over the city each day. The roost is near the confluence of the North and
South Forks of the Holston River along the Hawkins and Sullivan County line.
