VA Birders,
This morning around 7:15, Todd Day and I were able to relocate the
Upland Sandpiper found yesterday by Andy Rabin in Fauquier County. The
bird was feeding in the grassy field just west of the fence line which
runs out towards the pond on Harrison Road. It called several times and
at one point flew in, landed on the rocks in the field, and then landed
on one of the fence posts and called again. It then returned to the
field and continued feeding. We were able to relocate it further out in
the field when Bev L. arrived around 8:00.
