Hi All
Thanks to the Postings of David Clark I was able to pick up another
Great
Bird To Day. My Wife and I found 3-Upland Sandpipers today at Hog Island
WMA In Surry Co. They were in the last Field on Right. The were easy to
spot from Viewing platform. In the first pond on right (fish house Bay)
there were 18 Blue-winged Teal. Other highlights 2-Wilson's Plover, 11
species of shorebirds
in all. Land birds of note Oven Bird, Least Flycatcher,Phoebe,Pewee,Blue
Grosbeaks and Blue Gray Gnatcatchers. On our way Home we Made a quick
stop at Fort Boykins in Isle White Co. On Tormentor Lake we found 7-Wood
Ducks and A Kingfisher. Also Had Worm-eating Warbler, and a Prothonotary.
Also Both Tanagers and a Brown-headed Nuthatch In all we had 70 species
the half day trip.
