Urgent message for those of you in the Clifton or southern Fairfax area:

My husband, who operates a nuisance wildlife control business, just received a
call from an Amtrak train operator who thinks she may have struck a bald eagle
that was feeding on a dead deer near the railroad tracks, about 3/4 mile from
Clifton, VA.  I don't have a map to see exactly where that is, but if anyone
wants to check this out, that's as much info as I got.  Perhaps someone on the
list has the name of a wildlife rehabilitator that will handle an injured eagle
if it can be located.

The operator was not able to go back to see if the eagle was still there, or if
got out of the way just in time.

Thanks!

Liz Koozmin
Reston, VA
