To Everyone for consideration:
I have been perusing this listserve for a year or so and have a general
comment to many who regularly post listings:
Please, for the benefit of those of us who do enjoy this site, provide
some general indication of what part of the state your posting refers to.
I think I'm pretty well steeped in Virginia geography but this is quite a
large and diverse piece of real estate and few if any know where a lot of
these places are.
Thus, what is happening is that people from Tidewater may speak of some
creek or pond and assume that everyone else knows where they are talking about.
Or folks from Northern Virginia may refer to a lake, park, schoo, etc., and,
likewise, figure that of course we all know the place. Not so.
All it would take is to mention the city or county involved.
Now please, don't someone find reason to take umbrage at this suggestion.
I offer it only in the spirit of making a good and useful thing better for a
wider audience.
