VA BIRDers,
In my previous post of Rich and my trip to Thompson this morning, I neglected
to mention that we observed a white hummingbird. There was some gray paneled
coloration on the underside of the tail feathers, but otherwise a slightly
dirty white over the entire body including the gorget area (no diffraction
effects noted). We both were surprised that more than one of these are in
Virginia! I suppose it must happen with some frequency?
