Thanks to all who responded with the Pied-Billed Grebe. I should have looked
beyond the diving duck plate in the Sibley. One of these days...
A question.. A very nice couple from the UK is visiting here in the states.
They are spending 3 weeks in Chincoteague. Roger Norman and his wife Judy had
joined va-bird to get some insight prior to their vacation trip. Well.. we are
meeting up with them at the the bird banding station at Kiptopeke this Saturday
morning. We had planned to visit nearby Cape Charles afterward and we'd like to
insure that they see some birds while they are here.
I've just emailed Ned Brinkley for some tips.. Anyone else have any good
birding spots there or anywhere in the nearby region that they would like to
share?
Supposed to turn chilly this weekend, which could bode well for all. Fingers
crossed.
