All,
Pretty good day at Monticello Park so far today, including Tennessee
Warbler, which was first heard vocalizing and later observed by Bill
Young and Scott Baron.
The Tennessee was relocated a short time later perched in the low
canopy just above the park's stream. This time around the bird was
observed by a number of other birders. Great unobstructed look at a
singing Tennessee lit up nicely in mid morning light. Thanks Bill &
Scott.
Other remarkable birds in the park today, include:
Cooper's Hawk
YB Cuckoo
Blue-headed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
House Wren
RC Kinglet
Hermit Thrush
Brown Thrasher
Blue-winged warbler (3)- one in the glass, one vocalizing nearby,
another in the stream, all within yards of each other.
Nashville Warbler
YR Warbler
BT Green Warbler
B&W Warbler
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Waterthrush, spcs.
Hooded Warbler (vocalizing from both rdieglines)
