Hello all,
We visited Sunrise Valley Park in Reston this morning.
We spotted these new arrivals:
Snipe (now called Wilson's Snipe instead of Common Snipe?)
Solitary Sandpiper
A Proud mama Mallard with at least 14 puff ball babies (they were moving so
fast it was hard to get an accurate count).
Also, at least one Green Heron and a single Belted Kingfisher flew over just as
we were leaving.
The Reston Association has authorized the annual mowing of the park. When we
left this morning, this was underway.
