Nothing too exciting at the park this morning, but there were a couple of nice
birds. A Red-tailed Hawk was sitting in a tree by the water (mostly frozen)
when I arrived. One surprise was a Brown Thrasher at the east end of the park.
Other nice winter birds included one or two male Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers,
Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, a Winter Wren, many Yellow-rumped
Warblers and a flock of Cedar Waxwings.
