[va-bird] Strange Duck - Hybrid?

For the past few weeks, there has been a strange duck on Lake Barcroft in Falls 
Church, VA.  I have seen it this past week with a pair of mallards.  I have no 
idea what it is other than I believe itâs a hybrid.  I have a picture for 
email.

This duck is about the size of a mallard and has a black head, two or so inch 
band of white around the lower neck and the body is cinnamon with a patch of 
white on the wing.

Any thoughts?  Thanks!!
