Today's snow fall has brought more species of sparrows to my feeders than I can
remember seeing there before at any one time. In addition to the many
White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos and occasional Song Sparrow that
frequent the feeders everyday, we have also had an American Tree Sparrow, a Fox
Sparrow, a couple White-crowned Sparrows and a Swamp Sparrow today for a total
of seven sparrow different sparrow species. While I've had Swamp Sparrow in my
yard before I believe this may be the first I've seen at the feeders.
I am still hoping for a Towhee or a Field Sparrow to make it eight species of
sparrows but certainly won't complain if they don't show up.
