Hello VA-Birders,
Just a note to those not monitoring the MDOsprey list: To everyone birding the
Eastern Shore, there is currently a young Snowy Owl being seen in Dorchester
County, MD (on Elliott Island Road near the town of Vienna, MD) which is about
50 miles north of the VA state line. There is speculation by some that this
bird may be the same one briefly seen recently at Cape May, as well as one
later seen at Hart-Miller Island. The Dorchester Owl was seen there early this
morning but not reported to my knowledge later in the day, so it may still be
