VA Birders,
This evening,just before dark,David Raines of the Buchanan County Bird Club,
reported a juvenile Snow Goose in a field in the Breaks community not far
from the Breaks Park. He approached to within a hundred feet or so of the
goose, which was feeding in the grassy field. The goose was still there as
night fell. This is only the second recorded sighting for this species
within the county. The first sighting was two years ago in the same area, by
the same birder.
David would have posted the sighting, but his computer is down.
