I treated the Hike/Bike Trail as my extended backyard for the GBBC on
Monday. I flushed the snipe in the Woodcock Meadow (definitely not a
woodcock ? I got fine views in flight and on the ground). I also saw or
heard the resident catbird in the Woodcock Meadow and the phoebe near the
platform. Good numbers of flickers and golden-crowned kinglets. The full
list follows.
