[va-bird] Snickers Gap, 11/26/02

Jen Folts and I had another nearly hawkless day today.  It was cloudy, cold,
not windy, and we got snowed out at 1:00 PM, after a 9:00 start.  The raptors:

Bald Eagle - 1
Red Shoulder - 1
Red Tail - 1

TOTAL - 3

Other avian types included a Wilson's Snipe, I believe a first for the site, 
a good
number of gulls, including 2 identifiable Herring Gulls, and, for the 
loonatics
among us, 511 Common Loons!  They made life interesting!

Wait till next year!  Tuesdays will be prime time -
