[va-bird] Sharp-shinned in warehouse

Evening folks, or should I say night.

A buddy of mine called me yesterday to inquire about a bird in his warehouse
that he thought might be a hawk. Upon going by there today 05-31-02 I
identified the bird as a Sharpie and watched and tried to video tape said
bird for about thirty minutes. We called several organizations to inquire
about getting the hawk out back into the wild. the advised that as long as
it was not walking around on the ground and not attacking or tearing up
stuff to just leave it and when it is ready it will go out. there is a 16
foot door and 3 9foot doors for the hawk to exit from.

My buddy told me that birds are in there all the time and upon my arrival
today the Sharpie had gotten one of those birds and eaten it. The Sharpie
was flying around and made it difficult to capture on film. Every time I got
close to it it flew to a different area.

The company decided to just leave the Hawk alone and wait to see what
happened over the weekend. The business is East Coast Metal Distributors
located at Melrose and 24th street NW Roanoke VA
