VA BIRDers,
I am in the process of compiling the Winter Season for the VSO journal,
Virginia Birds. I have combed through VA BIRDs records and found only a few
reports of Purple Finch and Pine Siskin. So, I am sending out this note to
all asking for your sightings information on these species in the North
Virginia reporting region which encompasses Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke,
Warren, Page, Loudoun, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Madison, Culpeper, Stafford,
Prince William, Fairfax and Arlington Counties. Sightings from December
through February are particularly interesting, but more recent sightings
would be very important, too. Please send dates and location (at least a
county). Thank you.
