We just found 3 SHORT-EARED OWLS at the same spot we had 3 Harriers last night.
I assumed all along the spot should produce some. There may even be more than
3, but it got too dark see. We also found the same 3 Harriers as last night. On
the way back into town we found a single Barn Owl flying over the road.
Total list for the day:
N. Harrier - 6 (3 Females-NE of town; 3 Males-SW of town)
Cooper's Hawk - 1
Red-shouldered - 1
Red-tailed Hawk - 34
Rough-legged - 1
Kestrel - 7
Barn Owl - 1
SHORT-EARED OWL - 3
A MOST FANTASTIC NEW YEAR!!
