Folks,
Saturday, January 24 I say the juvenile rufous hummingbird at the feeder of
Louise Weber & Phyllis Rinaca in Grottoes, Va. In eastern Rockingham County.
It has been here since early October , and feeds every 30 minutes. It
chirped while it fed at the heated feeder, then flew to a rhododendron bush
nearby and rested. Last winter, Louise & Phyllis had possibly a different
rufous here, but it left in November. They also have a towhee,
golden-crowned kinglet, & brown creeper near their yard.
