[va-bird] Ross's Goose - Chincoteague NWR

A group from Monticello Bird Club, led by John Zimmerman, descended on
Eastern Shore this past weekend.  It was a weekend of great birding starting
out with CAVE and BARN SWALLOW (photographed) on CBBT Island #4 and ending
with ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER at Kiptopeke.

I thought I would send along info on small flock (5-6) of ROSS?S GOOSE first
observed flying in with Snow Geese on Saturday, November 19.

We returned to the same location yesterday morning (November 20) and
relocated at least two.  One was in the foreground of large flocks of Snow
Goose in Swans Cove Pool near the end of Beach Road. We pulled into the
parking area directly across the road from the NPS Visitors Center and bird
was straight out in front providing stunning close-up views. Web link to
few pics below.

Also noted was a juvenile BLACK SKIMMER found on Saturday (photographed)
just around the bend, still in Swans Cove Pool but viewed from Beach Cove
Bike Trail side.
