Hello all
This morning Pat & I went to the Green Valley Book Fair & while we were in the
area we went up to where three Ross's geese have been hanging around since this
past Monday . If anyone is interested in seeing them for a life bird or just
adding them to your year list here are the directions . Take I 81 north or
south to the Bridgewater College & Mount Solon exit , go west towards Rt. 11 to
the stop light .At the stop light turn right onto Rt. 11 north . The first
place to look is a small pond on a road named OAKWOOD LANE ( this is about
ahalf mile or so from the stop light ) this will be a left hand turn off of Rt
. 11 look for the sign -- after turning on Oakwood Lane the pond will be on
your left . Everyone was parking next to the '' chicken house '' . Morning
light is best for viewing . If the birds are not there go back to Rt. 11 &
continue north about half a mile up you will see a Honda Motorcyle place & a
Farmers Market on your right . Across the road is a corn field where these
birds sometimes hang out . Park at the Honda place for viewing . Good Luck to
all who seeks out these birds .
